PRODUCTION SUPPORT LEAD - FIXED INCOME AND FX

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

The Analyst will join an experienced team, responsible for managing applications that offer pricing, trading, risk, and valuations to Business.

This is a rotational role, where the Analyst will be rotating between different application support teams, e.g. EFX, EFI, Risk Management.

The role will initially involve limited 1st and expansive 2nd line application support responsibilities, offering engagement with a broad range of stakeholders across Front & Middle Office, Product Control, Risk Management, Back Office, Application Development and Infrastructure teams.

Training will be provided, though given the nature of the role, the successful candidate is expected to have a 'hands on' attitude and be proactive to enhance their knowledge.

Systems and applications comprise vendor and in-house built tools, with Pricing, Execution, Trading and Risk Management systems.

Effective incident & problem Management

Bank holiday coverage, weekend work (rota basis), occasionally out of hours and other weekend work may be required from time to time
JOB REQUIREMENTS
-
Experience supporting Trading, Pricing, and Risk Management applications.

Working experience in with the following technologies: Linux, Windows Server, Oracle, SQL

Understanding of pricing curves and models
-
Experience supporting front-to-back Trading Systems and Trading Desks
-
Should be comfortable assessing trading systems/components to investigate trade breaks, connectivity, and data issues.

Understanding of financial markets and products, FX, Options, Commodities, Fixed Income, Equities

Understanding of electronic trading, markets, connectivity, market making, and algorithmic/automatic trading.

Strong analytical skills

Must have proven experience working with developers, business analysts, and systems support team.

5yrs + of applicable experience
-
Experience in batch management.

Experience in programming or scripting Languages (desirable)

ITRS, Splunk, Python and automation skills (desirable)

Exposure to vendor products: Calypso, Murex, ION, Anvil, Broadway, D3 (desirable)

Knowledge of IT project & development lifecycles (SDLC), agile methodology and ITIL
